An Isaac FIELD married Mabel LINGE in 1926 (Thetford Q2-1926 4b:848)
Hence we can see how CWGC have son of Isaac and of Mabel FIELD.

The 1939 register has at 163 London Road, Brandon, Isaac FIELD [289-2-1892] civilian instrument repairer for RAF; and wife Mabel [5-1-1902], later Mrs WOOLNOUGH, and Robert K LINGE [29-11-1921] a pig breeder's labourer (son of Mabel FIELD ).

29th May 1940, Dunkirk: 33,558 British troops are evacuated from Dunkirk harbour and 13,752 from the beaches. The 1st Suffolks lost 22, 13 are buried in Belgium and 9 are named on the Memorial in Dunkirk.
